Cellars West Coast

Though vineyards exist all around the world, there are areas where they truly thrive and produce some of the finest wines available. California, Oregon and Washington states are definitely on the global stage where wine production is concerned, and this West Coast club specializes in monthly selections from this busy region. The selections will be from smaller, “boutique” vineyards and wineries, and will include the well-known varietals like Chardonnay and Rieslings as well as Merlots and Pinot Noirs. This club is billed as the ideal “gift for any wine lover”. Members can select two different reds each month, or opt for a single red and a single white.

I sent my entire family a two-month membership to this wine club last Christmas. They all loved it and many say they’re going to renew their memberships. This club makes a great gift because you can personalize it to suit anyone’s tastes. I sent my parents the all-red package, my sister the all-white one, and my in laws the mixed box. It was such a hit that I might do it again next year.

I’m from California, so I’ve grown up around wine. I’ve always been kind of embarrassed that I don’t know too much about it. I joined the Cellars West Coast club because it seemed like a good deal and it would be a way to learn more about wine. So far, I’ve loved it!

The wine club has been teaching me about the different varietals and vintners available in California. I’ve actually visited some of the vineyards whose wine I’ve sampled. It’s a great learning tool.

I’m a white wine drinker. You’d be surprised how many wine clubs don’t offer only white wine packages. Everything is always all red or a mix. This wine club is great for me because I am able to get two bottles of white wine every month. It’s always good wine too.

I am a big fan of California chardonnay, and this club has introduced me to new chardonnays I did not know about before. I have also really enjoyed less common whites like chenin blanc. All in all, I am very satisfied with this club. I have had better wine in the past, but I never expected so much variety for this price.

I love good American-made wine, but it’s had to find some varieties here on the East Coast. Short of ordering cases directly from wineries’ websites, there’s not much I can do to get my hands on wine from smaller producers. This wine club is good because it gives me a sampling of wine that I wouldn’t be able to get otherwise. I like that I can reorder bottles with a discount. I’ve taken advantage of that a few times already. I’ve gotten a lot out of the newsletters that come in each shipment too.
