California International
Though the CaWineClub.com prides itself on its reliance on small, California family-owned wineries, it is also well aware of the many “Mom & Pop” wineries in other countries as well. Due to member interest, and their own belief in supporting the manufacture of high-quality wines, they make this specialty wine club available as well. Members receive two international wines each month, a full biographical sketch on the family farms that produced the monthly selections, some recipes and travel tips for their area and the joy of knowing the wines are unavailable anywhere else in the United States!

I love getting wines that no one else has! With the California International wine club, I get a shipment of two wines every other month that just can’t be found here in the States. They’re always delicious. I wish I could get my hands on more. This is a great club for wine drinkers looking to try something new.
The wines that come with the California International wine club are very good, but you only get two every four months. It’s frustrating to have to wait so long between deliveries. You definitely can’t depend on this wine club for your whole two month’s supply of wine unless you rarely drink. For the price, I’m not sure this club is worth it.
I do like learning about the small foreign wineries. I think the best part about this club is its educational component. Every shipment comes with information about the wineries where the wine was produced. It’s very interesting to learn about small wineries that I’d probably never hear about otherwise.
If you can afford this wine club and either don’t drink too much or buy other wine, I’d recommend it because the wine is good. Otherwise, I’d say go with something else.
I love supporting small wineries. I’m also a member of the California Premier club, which is similar but sends domestic wine. The International club is great because it exposes me to wineries that I wouldn’t know about without it. The only foreign wines that are easy to find in stores are the bottles from big time producers. I’ve found I like these small vintner’s wines so much better. I’d definitely recommend this wine club for curious wine drinker like myself.
